ENGLISH: Students have been working on their essays about summer. Before ITBS testing the kids should have asked parents to proofread their writing. They are now ready to type up the final draft. Some began in class and have it on their flash drive, while others have not started. Parents may type the essay for your child if you wish.
SOCIAL STUDIES: Read p30-33 and complete WS p11/12
SOCIAL STUDIES: Finish WS p8 & 9 (not p10). Ch #1 test is Fri. 10/7.
READING: Study for test on MRS. FRISBY & the CROW & complete WS on vocabulary
MATH: Finish WS p6/7 and p102-103 #1-30. This assignment was from last week and most children are finished. Feel free to review their work for any errors.
READING/ANTHOLOGY: Complete the “Story Map” WS on the short story “Mrs. Frisby and the Crow”. Test for “Mrs. Frisby and the Crow” is scheduled for Wed. 10/5.
SCIENCE: Review for Ch #1 test and their study packet should be completed for credit.
Parents,
Most of the children left their science books in the classroom on Friday. I felt that the kids are progressing nicely in the concept of addition, so I decided to switch the test days. They had their math quiz today, and will take their science test tomorrow. For Blessing of the Animals, the children may bring a small caged animal to our classroom and we can hold onto it until the ceremony. Any leashed animals must be brought at 2:30 pm.
