I am looking for parent helpers for our math class. It is Mon-Fri from 11:05-11:45am. Please let me know if you are able to assist. Also, feel free to ask any questions about the chapters we are on or any upcoming tests. The progress report grades close on Wednesday, 10/5. All missing, absent, or late work should be turned in by then. Since the trimester is half over, the students should have about half of their AR points (5 points minimum).

SPELLING:   WS p3 (you do not need to do the “apple” activity)

SPELLING:   WS p6 complete the bottom assignment as well (grouping long vowel/short vowel words). Parents, this Friday’s spelling test will be their five core words found on their unit preview sheet(flex file). They will be given a story and will write in the missing words. They are also responsible for learning the skill of short/long vowel sounds. They will be given a list of words and will need to sort them into the two groups.

I’d like to send home a class contact list using your email address. This is a convenient way to keep you informed about field trips, parties, and our bake sale. This is for our fourth grade class only. If you do NOT want your information on this sheet, please let me know. Thank you and have a great evening.

SCIENCE:   (1.3) Complete color coded outline. Use internet to find an example of a vascular and non-vascular plant. Be creative!

ENGLISH:   WS p1

MATH:   P461 Practice 1-1 #1-13 and Practice 1-2 #1-12 (extra practice as needed). Parents…the purpose of the extra practice assignments are to help your child with a particular concept. If your child does not practice any of the concepts, they are telling you that they are ready for a 100% on their math test. :)
