FIELD TRIP:
Please give Mrs. Keltie a copy of your re-certification. Parents coming on the field trip, but not on the bus… please organize a carpool and remember to bring $6.00 with you to the museum ticket office.
A letter went home yesterday about our field trip and parents wanting to chaperone. If you are interested in coming please send in a note so I can give the museum the final count. However, you will hold onto your fee of $6.00 and pay at the museum. Remember, in order to come on this field trip you need to have completed the safety re-certification class. Please give a copy of your certificate to Mrs. Keltie.
The kids and I reviewed current assignments that they have been working on in class after ITBS testing. We included due dates so parents may check the work if needed. Yellow work folders go home Friday. By Tuesday, we will complete chapter 2 in religion, so there will be a test later in the week. We will also be finished with unit #1 in spelling and ready for the test.

Many thanks to all the parents who were interested in chaperoning our first field trip. Unfortunately due to museum regulations based on their program, we were limited to four adults. I randomly pulled names of those who asked to be considered and the parents picked were Chris L.’s mom, Jhoy’s mom, Ethan’s mom, and Ryan S.’s mom. Our next fourth grade field trip will be to Mission San Jose on 12/3 and all parents are invited to attend. Thank you and I look forward to seeing you all at tonight’s re-certification class.
Due to ITBS testing, there will be no assigned homework. Children will continue to work in class on their assignments and next week parents may review the work before it is due.
Yellow folders will go home this Friday, 9/24.
Safety certification on Tuesday, 9/21.
Field trip permission slips went home today for the Oakland Museum of CA.
MATH:
Review for chapter #1 test. Pick and choose concepts from p64 #1-22 ; p66 #2-17 ; p461 practice 1-1 #1-13 ; practice 1-2 #1-12 that you feel your child needs as extra practice. Please take advantage of these problems as a way to help prepare your child for the test.
Next week is ITBS testing. Please help your child get a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast to begin their day. We will have our first field trip of the year in October, so if you are interested in chaperoning remember you must have your safety re-certification.
