Hi parents, I hope you’re having a great weekend. Last week, your child received their rice bowl for Lent which included some information about the countries we are helping. Some recipes were also given. I’d like to cook the bean cakes. I would supply the ingredients, but I would need parent volunteers to help supervise, and then to actually fry them in hot oil. I’d like to do this activity on Friday, after lunch to the end of the day.  If you are able to help, could you please email me and let me know. Please remember, you must have the safe environment certificate to volunteer. Thank you so much!

Dear Parents,

I hope everyone is having a nice evening. By now, the children should have already presented you with an envelope, and their card. As you know, this class is super creative and so I’m sure you will be very impressed.

On this Parent Appreciation Day, I want to thank you for all your support and to the dedication we share with our children. My gift to you (although the children think it’s for them) is to have no homework tonight. I’m giving you the night off. You don’t have to proof read or type up anything or double check any math problems. Enjoy your time.

SPELLING:   WS p12

Last week we had a very busy schedule. This week is Catholic School’s Week and our days are very busy as well. For this reason, chapter tests have been postponed. I will let you know when we are close to finishing the chapter.

A noteletter note went home with your child today providing information about tomorrow’s field trip. The kids did have work that they needed to finish tonight because we will be gone on our field trip.

Some children have finished the tasks.

Finish coloring the bookmark for Parish Appreciation Day

Decorate their envelope

Finish their note/poem/prayer etc for Clergy Appreciation Day

List 4 things that make OLG  great

All students will need parents to proofread their essay and then type up final copy. When finished, the kids should have 4 parts to their essay (the color coded outline, the rough draft, the proof reading, the rewrite, and the final draft typed)

Also, we will need to reschedule our tests next week. I will let you know as soon as I have more information.

MATH:   WS on mean/average (odd #’s only)

RELIGION:   Finish color coded outline and rough draft on Why OLG is Special and prepare for ch#5 test (www.faithfirst.com)
